Metro Awakening

Metro Awakening is a story-driven first person adventure built for VR that blends atmospheric exploration, stealth and combat.

At Vertigo Games Amsterdam, I contributed to the development of tools and engine improvements for the VR game Metro Awakening and future projects.

Activities

  • Developed an in-editor texture atlas tool in C++, including a custom editor using Unreal Engine’s Slate UI framework.
  • Upgraded the in-house dialogue editor with Eleven Labs’ text-to-speech API for generating placeholder dialogue.
  • Worked on engine features and bugs.
  • Led research on procedural content generation and controllable GenAI.
  • Implemented audio and provided technical support to the audio team.
